Like the flip of a switch, northwest Ohio went from unusually cool late spring temperatures to mid-summer heat with temperatures surging into the 90s this past week. The quick change brought out flowers, some in full bloom at trails in the Metroparks. Area residents visiting Oak Openings or the Wabash Cannonball trail will find a number of native plants and if lucky, a spotted turtle or two.
The Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank, with support from the Ohio National Guard, will host drive-through food distribution events for the following days:
